１９７８年神奈川県生まれ。
レゲエやファンクなどの音楽に傾倒しアップセッターなティーンエイジャー期を過ごしたコースケ・ハシジマは、２００２年武蔵野美術大学卒業後、グラフィックデザイナーとして東京でキャリアをスタート。２０代で長期海外駐在を経験。シンガポールや上海でまさに勃興中のアートカルチャーに
触れ、オランダやドイツでクリエイティブに優しい環境を謳歌した。
帰国後、広告業界に身を投じ多くのメジャープロジェクトをこなすも、業界の閉塞感や労働環境に失望。いつしか創作の手を止め、アニメや漫画に没頭する。
２０２４年、現実逃避中に突如『ぷるぷるパンク・プロジェクト』を立ち上げ、「セルフ・ファンアート(=存在しないアニメの二次創作)」という独自のスタイルを生み出した。妄想の中で妄想を探し続けるその姿は「令和のヘンリー・ダーガー」とも揶揄される。
