泉谷しげる / Shigeru Izumiya



1948 年5月11 日　青森県生まれ、３歳より東京都目黒区で育つ。
1971年　エレックレコードよりフォーク歌手として、アルバム『泉谷しげる登場』でデビュー。
1975年　吉田拓郎、井上陽水、小室等と「フォーライフレコード」設立。
1979 年、テレビ朝日系ドラマ「戦後最大の誘拐・吉展ちゃん事件」でテレビ大賞及び芸術祭優秀賞を受賞し、俳優としても一躍脚光を浴びる。
1980 年　映画「狂い咲きサンダーロード」で美術と音楽を担当、ブルーリボン美術デザイン賞を受賞。以降、TBS 系ドラマ「金曜日の妻たちへ」・CX 系「Dr. コトー診療所」・TX 系「三匹のおっさん」シリーズなど、数々のヒット作品に出演。
ミュージシャンとしては、1994 年の北海道奥尻島救済キャンペーン「一人フォークゲリラ」や雲仙普賢岳噴火災害救済チャリティコンサート、阪神淡路大震災救済の為に再び街頭で「フォークゲリラ」を決行。東日本大震災ではチャリティーライブ他、大友克洋、浦沢直樹と共に漫画家有志でマンガサミットチャリティーオークションを行い義援金をiPad などの物資に換えの直接被災地に出向き支援活動を展開。
2015 年より、熊本県阿蘇の地域活性を目的とした「阿蘇ロックフェスティバル」の発起人となり開催。
2017 年　69 歳の誕生日に、45 年のアーカイブ音源とニューアルバム、CD10 枚と、これまでの写真や作品を集めたアートブック・歌詞集をセットにしたBOX『泉谷しげるの新世界 アート オブ ライブ』をユーキャンから発表。
2021 年10月　第５回「阿蘇ロックフェスティバル」を初の２日間開催。コロナ禍、阿蘇山噴火、天候の３つの困難を乗り越え、奇跡的な大成功に終わる。
2022 年　9 月「北九州ロックフェスティバル2022 ～ with SDGs spirit」の発起人となり開催。

Born May 11, 1948 in Aomori Prefecture, raised in Meguro-ku, Tokyo since the age of 3.
1971: Debuted as a folk singer with the album "Shigeru Izumiya Appears" on ELEC Records.
1975 Founded "Four Life Records" with Takuro Yoshida, Yosui Inoue, Komuro, and others.
In 1979, he won the TV Grand Prize and the Art Festival Excellence Award for his role in the
TV Asahi drama "The Greatest Kidnapping of Postwar Japan: The C ase of Yoshinobu-chan,"
which also brought him into the limelight as an actor.
In 1980, he was in charge of art and music for the movie "Crazy Thunder Road," for which he
received the Blue Ribbon Art Design Award. Since then, he has appeared in numerous hit TV
dramas, including the TBS series "To Friday's Wives," the CX series "Dr. Coto Clinic," and the TX series "The Three Old Men" series.
As a musician, he performed in the "One-man Folk Guerrilla" cam paign for the relief of
Okushiri Island in Hokkaido in 1994, a charity concert for the Unzen Fugendake volcanic
eruption disaster relief, and again in the streets for the Grea t Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake
relief efforts. In the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake, in addition to charity live
concerts, they held a Manga Summit Charity Auction together wit h Katsuhiro Otomo and
Naoki Urasawa as volunteer manga artists and converted donation s into goods such as
iPads, and went directly to the affected areas to conduct relief activities.
Since 2015, he has been the initiator and organizer of the "Aso Rock Festival," which aims to
revitalize the local community of Aso, Kumamoto Prefecture.
2017 On his 69th birthday, UCAN released "Shigeru Izumiya's New World: The Art of Live", a
box containing 45 years of archived sound sources, a new album, 10 CDs, and an art book
and lyrics collection of his past photos and works.
October 2021 The 5th "Aso Rock Festival" is held for the first time for two days. Overcoming
three difficulties - the Corona disaster, the eruption of Mt. As o, and the weather - the
festival was a miraculous success.
In September 2022, he became the initiator of the "Kitakyushu R ock Festival 2022 - with
SDGs spirit".
