幼少期より自然や植物に強い関心を持ち、自然の力と美しさを求めて世界83カ国を旅する。その中で日本の盆栽が世界中の人々を魅了する姿に触れ、その本質的な美と精神性を学ぶ。帰国後はアパレルブランドを立ち上げ、自由な発想と「見せる美」を磨き、盆栽をグラフィックとしてデザインに取り入れるなど独自の表現を実践。ある日訪れた盆栽園で、枯れてしまった貴重な盆栽が廃棄されている光景に衝撃を受け、”枯れてなお美しい”をコンセプトに再生盆栽アート「WITHERS」を創業。自然と真摯に向き合ってきた視点とデザイナーとしての審美眼を融合させ、盆栽の新たな可能性を切り拓いている。

枯れてなお美しい『再生盆栽アート』
何十年、時には何百年と歳月を掛け、何代もの人々の手を渡り受け継がれてきた『盆栽』ーーその尊い命も、やがては枯れ、静かに役目を終えます。
しかし、その姿に宿る歴史や想いまで消えてしまってよいのでしょうか？そんな想いから生まれたのが、枯れた盆栽をアートへと再生した「WITHERS」です。
ドライ化させた盆栽の幹に、独自の保存処理を施したプリザーブド植物を添え、盆栽本来の格式高い風情と、自由で洗練された現代アートの融合をお楽しみ頂けます。水やり等のお手入れは一切不要です。
